Double Feature Poster

For this assignment you will be creating a poster for a two film double feature. You will create a poster that advertises the double feature without using stills from the movie. 

The final poster will be printed in two colors on the risograph. The size will be 10x16 printed on an 11x17 sheet. 

Poster needs to include both movies titles, directors names, theatrical years, and run times, and the A24 logo.

Movie Pitches

Step One: Choose a movie from
this list or this list

Step Two: Chose another film (not necessarily from the list) to pair with this film. Think symbolically related, visually related, time related, etc. This film must have been released before you were born. 

You will pitch Titus, Haylee and I three ideas two of which you haven’t seen. Don’t tell us which ones you haven't seen.

This is your double feature. 

HOMEWORK

Watch your movies (watch them again even if you have seen them) and create concept maps or world lists for each. Where do they cross over thematically, symbolically and visually?

Create (45) sketches for your poster. Think about visually and conceptually how to combine your two films. The concept here is make or break for this project. Think hard and explore. Don’t bring in too much of the same thing. Focus on a broad range of solutions.
